Loved how these two girls were such great friends and were able to over come the nasty pants gal that was so very jealous of them. Especially enjoyed how they had the smacking and hitting fight, found how that didn’t really work out …

My 9-year-old daughter absolutely devoured this book. She’s very into horses and was so captivated by the story! It’s a fun and light read about two friends navigating new things together. My daughter hopes there’s a part II in the works!

This book is packed full of vital information about dressage, and life. Galloway -Sprietsma clearly knows her stuff, and is able to articulate the subtle movements of dressage – the quiet communication between horse and rider – within the context of an engaging and credible teen story. The bond between horse and rider, the rider’s training and skill, are framed by lessons of grace, of winning and losing. The Horse Girls of St. Croix stretches, always reaching for higher ground.
